Tracking the production of clinical cases
An ethnographic study of an Applied Psychology Division
Abstract
This article aims to bring to the scene the different ways in which unique ethnographic work relations took place in a research that seeks to observe the different forms of subjectivity production engendered by clinical psychological practices, proposed in the Division of Applied Psychology (DPA) of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), based on the Political Epistemology of Isabelle Stengers and Vinciane Despret and the Actor-Network Theory of Bruno Latour and John Law. For these authors, scientific knowledge is produced not as a representation of reality, but as way of articulation between researchers and researched entities, therefore, it is important to discuss here how researchers articulate with the investigated field, and the results resulting from it.
