MST and its philosophers, complexity, order and disorder

Abstract

This article presents the theoretical foundation of the building and evolution of the Movement of Landless Rural Workers (MST), based on the contributions of several thinkers who influenced this philosophical foundation, as well as points out and analyzes the issues inherent to the organicity of their practice as a whole political action. There are two parts: first, some thinkers and philosophers and their relations with the Movement's militancy are revisited. Then, the Movement's performance is analyzed, considering the idea - mistaken- that a social group that militates and acts politically, does so under disorder, moves without rules and without any organizational standards. It is intended to show that it is possible to identify the connections with complex thinking: order and disorder cooperating for organization and complexity. From the contributions of many thinkers to the Movement's internal arrangements, it is possible to draw a parallel with the complexity paradigm
