Psychobioenergeticsocial interlacement: the self-regulation and transdisciplinarity of Wilhelm Reich
Abstract
This article intends to briefly present the conception of self-regulation, central concept in the work of Wilhelm Reich (1897-1957). The objective of this research is to discuss about the emergence os this conception in the theory of the referred author and to analyze how it was fundamental to think the human relations and the social organization of the subjects. If transdisciplinarity is a plural field of knowledge that overflows the barriers created by science, we can consider Reich’s work as being transdisciplinary par excellence. Initially we will discuss the biological and philosophical influences that led Reich to believe in the existence of a capacity of all living beings to self-regulate. Than a dialogue between the conception of self-regulation and the Psychopolitical Theory will be used to describe the subject-society relationship today.
