Perspectives of a framework for the genesis of a pluralist (meta-)paradigm in economic science

Keywords: Pluralism. Meta-paradigm. Framework.

Abstract

Based on the discussion of the kuhnian paradigm approach with insights from the sociology of knowledge, this article presents the perspectives of building a framework for the genesis of a pluralist (meta-)paradigm in economic science. After an introduction on the topic, describing the importance of the phenomenon of pluralism in economic science, the next topic addresses the rise of pluralism and the terminologies of neoclassical and heterodox economics. Then, the construction of a (meta-)paradigm is discussed, demonstrating that its objective is to smooth the path towards a practice oriented towards pluralism. At the end, the conclusion will summarize the main questions presented.
