A The relational ethics of Alfred North Whitehead in conflict resolution in the world of work

Abstract

This article introduces part of our ongoing thesis, based on relational ethics of process thought from Alfred North Whitehead on conflicts resolution. We start with some key-concepts introduced by Whitehead in his book Process and Reality, applying them to conflicts on organizational ambient, especially on companies in profuse using of inclusion policy and use to hire people from GLSB+ in large scale but are not so efficient to develop competencies for caring of human relations, and with same profusion they also fire these workers, causing high costs with occupational turnover.

Lília Dias Marianno, Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro

Researcher, professor and administrator. Expertise in business management, people management and knowledgement management. Student on Doctorate Program of Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) in History of Sciences, Technology and Epistemology. Also studies Mathematics by Federal Fluminense University (UFF). Master in Sciences of Religion of University Methodist of São Paulo, and Master in Theology of Baptist Faculty of Rio de Janeiro. Active in superior teaching with more than 20 years of practice. Coordinates the latin-american netswork about Alfred North Whitehead' process thought. Staff member of International Process Network (IPN) and Fellow Researcher of Center For Process Studies (CPS). Doctoral research centered in Epistemology, Conflicts Management and Gender Diversity.
